DESCRIPTION:Celebrate color\, culture\, and creativity with the Chicano Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC) in this hands-on workshop. Discover the history of nichos — vibrant\, decorative boxes rooted in Mexican and South American culture — before creating one of your own. Design a piece that reflects what matters most to you\, turning your nicho into a personal tribute for something (or someone) special. \nAll materials will be provided. \nOpen to youth in middle school and high school\, ages 12 to 17. This bilingual program will be hosted in English and Spanish. Space is limited; registration required.
