This Valentine’s Day, trade the crowded restaurant for fresh air, fascinating birds, and curated wine and chocolate pairings at Barr Lake State Park. Join Friends of Barr Lake for an unforgettable adults-only afternoon celebrating nature, love, and a little indulgence.

We’ll kick things off with a gentle, guided “Love is in the Air” hike along the picturesque Niedrach Trail—perfect for spotting winter birds and soaking in the scenery. Then head inside the Nature Center for an engaging presentation where you’ll learn about the mating and nesting behaviors of birds of prey.

Afterward, relax and socialize while enjoying thoughtfully paired wines and chocolates, non-alcoholic options, a fun photo booth, and great company.
