Brighton Public Art Committee
The Brighton Public Art Committee (BPAC), established in 2019, strives to make a positive impact in our community by creating opportunities for Brighton residents to experience diverse, meaningful artwork in their daily lives. Our mission is to create a legacy within the Brighton community for the appreciation of artistic expression.
- As a subcommittee of the BCAC, BPAC works closely with BCAC to secure and display art in public places.
- BPAC serves an advisory role, recommending works of art—such as sculptures and murals—to be acquired through SCFD and Brighton Creative Community (Lodging Tax) grants.
- BPAC oversees the initial call for art and an extensive selection process before commissioning work from artists who meet our high standards.
- BPAC then works with artists and with City representatives to coordinate the placement, installation, and display of art throughout Brighton for the enjoyment of all residents.
- BCAC donates all public art acquisitions to the City of Brighton. Click here to see some of the amazing outdoor art Brighton has to offer.
